İzmir combines city life on the Aegean coast with historic centers and the holiday destinations around it. Places to visit in central İzmir

Konak Square and the Clock Tower are well-known starting points for exploring the city center. The Kemeraltı area can be explored for its bazaar atmosphere and walking routes, while Kordon is an option for those who want to spend time along the coast. Leaving your vehicle in a suitable car park and walking through the historic center may provide a more comfortable visit than driving through narrow and busy streets.

Aegean routes

The areas around Urla, Çeşme and Alaçatı offer different options for coastal excursions. Selçuk and Ephesus can form a separate day route focused on history. Instead of touring these areas on the same day, separate your excursions to the east and west.
